Process
Craftsmanship
Our furniture is made by skilled artisans who love what they do. Each piece is bench-made, combined with handwork and hand finishing. The furniture is made of a combination of solid and veneered woods, hand-sorted for selectness. Last and not at all least, our veneers are laid with precision to create a “waterfall” match on all surfaces.
All drawers have dovetailed construction. The drawer boxes match the wood species of the drawer face and are finished to the same standard.
Much of our hardware is custom-made for the collection and not available in the marketplace.
Materials
Our leathers are premium top grain domestic hides and aniline-dyed, sealed to have the smoothness of calfskin but the easy care, durability, and evenness of color that is desirable for furniture use.
Our upholstered pieces are solid walnut on all legs and exposed trim. The internal structure is made of solid hardwood, with double-dowelled stress joints and eight-way hand-tied coil springs or webbing. Fillings have a high-density foam core wrapped with the finest feathers and down.
The backs of our pieces are finished to the same standard as the tops, fronts, and sides which allows our furniture to be freestanding in a room.
Quality & Lead Time
Each piece is inspected for the quality and consistency of the finish, the drawer action, the soundness and stability of the structure, and the execution of the precise details of the piece before it ships.
Our lead-time is 12-14 weeks for standard and custom pieces. Please inquire for an expedited lead-time when needed. We encourage custom work and are poised to do it with ease.
For contract orders, allow us to “value engineer” our products to meet the project budget or provide a special quote for quantity.
